14. Use of Google Workspace APIs 

Docutranscribe integrates with Google APIs so you can import financial documents from Gmail and Google Drive for automated data extraction. We request the following scopes, each used strictly for the purpose below:

Scope Purpose
userinfo.email Identify your Google account to authenticate you and manage your Docutranscribe account.
drive.readonly View folders and files in your Drive so you can browse and select folders to import documents from. Read-only — we cannot create, modify, or delete anything in your Drive.
drive.file Access only files you explicitly select, or files Docutranscribe creates on your behalf (e.g. exported results saved back to Drive).
gmail.readonly Scan your inbox and read message attachments to retrieve financial documents. Read-only — we cannot send, delete, or modify any email.

What we do with this data: extracted documents are processed by our OCR/AI engine solely to pull structured data for your use inside Docutranscribe. We do not sell this data, serve ads with it, or use it to train generalized AI/ML models.

Retention: data retrieved via Gmail and Drive is kept only as long as needed to deliver the service, then deleted. Email [email protected] to request deletion at any time.

Revoke access: you can disconnect Docutranscribe at any time via Google Account → Permissions.

Docutranscribe’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
